Well it looks like it has been an amazing upgrade week so far for us here at Warrior Guides! Black picked up his brand new shiny beat stick, The Jawbone!
I myself made a lot of progress in the farming for my Greatness Card; I’m about 65% there, maybe less with repair bills for the upcoming week. I also discovered I love ArP WAY more than I thought I did, I replaced by t7 legs with Legplates of Double Strikes for the ArP and I received by t8.5 chest last night too. Conqueror’s Siegebreaker Battleplate
I gained about 156 ArP bring my total to 434, which has been a major DPS upgrade (I was pulling 5k on some bosses in Uld25 and ridiculous number on trash, thanks to bladestorm.)
I did lose my Exp Cap from replacing the pants, but it hasn’t affected my performance at all. The only dilemma is that if I go for my 4 peace set bonus I need the pants or the shoulders. The pants have NO ArP on them so I would lose a lot, and the shoulders drop off of Yogg-Saron which were still progressing on in 25man.
And just to reinforce what Black already said, Farm Flame Leviathan for Ironsoul! Its loaded down with ArP, it’s a Mace, and well hell…its just amazing.
What all this really means for you is that you your warrior guides now kick even more ass and are gonna be bring you more hard hitting tips soon.
P.S. <3 ArP

Oh it is just magical :)
The idea of hitting people with a Jawbone screams SAMSON to me
One of the biggest things I miss though is my crits, which I think I’m going to be re-gemming to bring up. With mace spec I’m at a paltry 21% :( which is to say 1 in 10 swings is a crit...vs my 1 in 5 I had going with Axe/Polearm spec.
I ran several arena over the last two days and I must say there has been a very noticeable increase in damage done.
Have I mentioned how much I hate frost mages? I mean seriously is there anything more annoying than a frost mage?
YES...
A frost mage and a DRUID who knows how to kite & CC.
Ran into this combo in arena, and while we won the fight it was largely to the Druid being in 70 brutal gear (which tells me he was well versed in the pvp arts) and my healer being bad ass Otherwise next to the Rogue Loc combo the Icemage Druid combo in 2v2 simply frustrates me to no end.
For frost mages, I find that the out come depends a lot on your RNG getting those big crits when it counts.
Aside from that, What I do is try to keep up a good rotation between charge, trinket, and (because engineering is amazing) my nitro boots.
It usually goes like this:
Charge/hamstring
Get Frozen, mage blinks(which is a mistake to use this early, you'll see why)
Then I bind this to a macro
1.Cast Shattering Throw
2.Cast Heroic Throw
3.Use {Name of my Gloves} which have the built in rocket also from engineering.
This causes about 4k dmg and the armor reducer should still be up. Now if I'm out of the frost nova I use the nitro boots to catch up to him. If not I'll use my trinket and do the same. So now you can beat on him for a bit and by the time his blink is back up, your charge will be too.
For druids...we'll...I just kinda give up. 1v1 If the druid is skilled you pretty much cannot win unless you hit some BIG crits.
Update: As of Thursday, July 23. We downed Yogg-Saron on 25 man mode, became the ninth Alliance guild to do it on our server. (I believe)
And I was able to purchase my nobles deck after weeks of hard farming, and I'll have my Greatness Card next time the fair is in town. (Augest 2nd)
And I will be working on a Yogg guide soon.
Yeah most of the time druids can eat me up simply because their root and cyclone + hots and instant heals widdle me down over time.
As for mages I find that a lot of it depends on how quickly you can do things in response to what the mage does.
Much like you I start with the
1. Charge, hamstring combo
2. Mage freezes and blinks (I’m willing to bet every mage has this combo on macro)
3. I trink and use my intercept combo (/cast berserkerstance, /cast intercept) and use the following macro (which I designed specifically for mages)
(/Cast hamstring
/Cast Recklessness
/Cast Bladestorm)
I spam the LIVING HELL out of that thing. I’ve killed several mages at this point. They can't freeze you they can't sheep you and it hurts them.
4. Mage freezes me in place
5. I use the shattering throw, heroic throw combo (3-6k damage) Many more mages die at this point
6. I start in with the ranged weapon I have. (yeah I’ve killed people with my gun before lol)
Most mages are either dead or running for their lives. IF they are not dead at this point then things go real bad real fast because the moment you charge in they are going to freeze you and start icing you...SO....
7. Charge and try to get an MS off. The mage will usually resort to the freeze blink combo
8. Get a sword and board on and start casting spell reflect and using your ranged weapon again.
At this point you’re dead, the mage is dead or your trinket and bladestorm are going to be up again along with charge and intercept so just wash rinse repeat.
