3.2 Deathknight - L2P Bitches!!!

First a little ditty I wrote this morning on ma geetar.

DK’s Are squishy ha, ha, ha
DK’s are squishy ho, ho, ho
DK’s are squishy ha, ha, ha
DK’s are squishy that is all.

Yes my friends the days of DK’s utterly destroying you and your healer are gone, I once had my ass handed to me by a DK so soundly that a message appeared on my screen asking if I wanted to delete my character. It was that bad.

It’s not that bad any more.

Now before I stick my foot in my mouth like I did when DK’s first dropped I’m going to say as of last night DK’s couldn’t PVP their way out a wet paper bag. I’m not sure how they are showing up in raid DPS, but all I know is I’m not getting 2 shotted anymore by dks ANNNDDDD I can cause some real hurting now. I can quite literally take on a 1v3 and focus fire on the DK, assuming they don’t have a healer with them, and kill the DK before the three people kill me. So assuming there isn’t some new learning curve I’m officially LOLing at DK’s.

I have a special place in my sights for DK’s now. Seriously if I see a DK at full health and a naked Gnome with 2% hp I’m gunning for the easier target and killing the DK.

Now last time I said this about DK’s I had a couple of people saying that their “friends” who were ally were gunning for me in BG’s and Arena...this made my life suck for a bit, till I apologized, yeah I’m a big enough man to admit when I’m wrong. I was wrong about DK’s at first, it took some time for people to L2P as a DK and then we saw the OPidness of them, BUT with 3.2 I’m gonna go ahead and say that the nerf stick beat DK’s back into the mortal realms.

All that shyt talking about “L2P”, and “quit the QQ”, and “We’re a Heroic class we’re supposed to be awesome” has come full circle
...L2P Bitchessss...

Oh BTW DKs Icy chainy thinging me TO YOU is not a good idea. IT saves my charge for when you start running away, and you WILL try to run.

Fair enough we've been nerfed but if it's anywhere as harsh as you are making out Blizz will either make us more powerful again or nerf the hell out of warriors PvP wise.

To be honest it sounds more like the PvPers are struggling to adjust to the new trees/different ways certain talents and abilities are working. Once they've got over this I'm sure you will be finding them more of a challenge but it will hopefully be more fun for both sides.

Oh and FYI we're still at the top of the dps charts in raids and heroics if you know how to play one properly. But I personally am glad it's no longer possible for an unskilled/underequipped DK to pull 1.7k out in a raid, even if they're unholy, I would say puts us in line with other classes in PvE and lets propper DKs who play because they enjoy the rune mechanic and hyrid dps/tanking style a chance to shine.

Seriosuly though I wouldn't post any more gloats like this, it immiture and makes you sound like a toddler who's spat his dummy out because he didn't get his way and don't bother posting any flames because I just don't care, doing so only proves my point.

LOL Truce.
Well spoken and laid out. I agree with you whole heartedly that it’s only a matter of time for people to learn the mechanics before DK’s are PVP respectable again, for now though they remain in my sites.
As for your point on “skilled players” Let me tell you a quick story that has kept me very pissed at the OPidness of DK’s
I have 3 sons. 2 of them play WOW. One is 15 and one is 6. My 15 year old is well versed in WOW and created a DK as soon as he was able to. My 6 year old likes to do what his older brother does so from time to time he jumps on my 15 year olds DK and will PVP...on some rare occasions my 15 year old will let him raid under a watchful eye.

When my 6 year old jumps into BG’s he quite literally rolls over people. He’s not skilled and he has no concept of what’s going on beyond the brief instructions his brother gave him, which pretty much consisted of “Press 1 then 2 then 3, then 4 then 1, then 5. If you get low on health press 9” Top HK’s and KB’s is not an uncommon thing for my 6 year old. HE’S 6 FREAKIN YEARS OLD

What pisses me of even more is those DK’s who act like they are actually doing something and take the cocky attitude of “I’m better than you look at Recount” when a monkey with a stick could have poked at a keyboard and put up respectable numbers on recount.

Yeah I will enjoy things for the moment because I know blizzard all to well and I know they will somehow make things harder for me.

Oh and in PVP I think it has more to do with the way resilience “changed” because overall I’m finding EVERYONE is hitting me not quite as hard as they used to.

Sorry to offend “skilled” DK’s who actually know why they are pressing 1 then 2 then 3 etc. I respect anyone who takes the time to learn why they are doing something, hence the blog.

Unskilled DK’s, I’m gunning for you, and if things hold true we should all soon be able to tell the difference.

As a warrior I too have noticed the change when going against a DK. In the past, if chains of ice hit me I would assume I was about to die. Now, not remotely. As prot I can bash most DKs down in no time and have him fleeing to no avail.

There are some however that let me know that they are made of different stuff. And for that I applaud them.

I have just started playing a DK in BG's and i am not remotely worried about warriors.
Once i have my diseases set in place it is simply a matter of grinding you down with the odd death strike. Once every so ofen i find myself coming across a warrior who knows what he is doing and he 'may' get the upper hand but i still enjoy the 5 minute fight that we had before hand.

To say DK's have been normalised could be a huge mistake :p
