Fury PVP & Warrior User Interface Update

So I'm basically jumping back and forth from PVP to PVE and it's a little upsetting. I've decided that i'm going to focus on a few quick things before I go any further. Having been gone and essentially being a fresh 80 for a FURY warrior here's what I've decided to get control of before I do anything else:
1. Cold weather flying. I don't have it yet. IT"S NOT MY FAULT. See I let my son, who's very young, farm on my character. It's saves me time and teaches him to type and a few other skills for the 21st century. BUT...he likes to jump off cliffs and such :( So if I leave home with 800 in the bank I can expect to come home to 200g left. On top of that he likes to give people money...

2. A weapon...rather two weapons. I'm a fury warrior and as such a lot of my DPS comes from my top end crit damage, which is affecte/effected by my top end weapon damage. Right now i'm running with the weapon out of the NEW BLOOD RING and some Blue BOE mace, decent stats and such. HOWEVER the DPS I want to be doing and the DPS i'm doing are not the same right now. I'm just about done farming for my titan steel weapon which will be my first lvl 80 weapon as I can't seam to get the Edge of Oblivion or the weapon out of Heroic Old Kingdom i'm left trying to figure out wtf to do. Seriously i've run each of these instances like 6 times each and NADA damn thing for me but badges...the shame. So i'm probably just goign to flat out BUY a second titan steel weapon.

3. PVP gear. I say PVP gear only because i love PVP so much and honor farming is fun. I advise people not to get to discouraged if they suck once they hit 80 in PVP, you have to remember about 75% of the people at 80 have been at 80 MUCH longer than you and are well geared. It's not to say that they are better than you, but GEAR does make a difference.

Once I get a handle on these three aspects all else should fall into place, and really IMHO it should be the top 3 things EVERY fury warrior should be after.

PVE is nice, but PVP is so much better.

On the interface. OMG there are a lot of crap user interfaces out there. I mean WOW. bars and buttons and audio and all the most useless bells and whistles a fury warrior could ever use. So I'm still looking for a decent UI set up.
Right now i'm using the following addons
Baggon with all the bells and whistles
Zygor Guides, because doing quests quickly still makes you a lot of money.
Atlass loot - because that's what you need when you want to know what drops.
Gatherer - why wander aimlessly when you can run RIGHT TO WHERE things spawn.
OmniCC - it helps keep track of Cooldowns.
Auctioneer- Uh if you want money and don't have this stop playing WOW
....hmmm can't remember the name right now but theree's an addon that says PERFECT and flashes SLAM on your screen when you are able to instant cast slam.

Other than that there are a few others but these are my meat and potatoes.

If you have a good User interface for a FURY WARRIOR please feel free to share
Till tomorrow where i discuss ASSHOLE geared people, healers in specific, who think they are to good for everyone else.

Fury Warrior UI & Addon: Help me find a good one.

So as my last post suggested I’m in need of a UI (User Interface) that will help me be all the warrior I can be. Namely I’m looking for something that can help me keep track of my instant slam ability as well as a general casting toolbar. I’ve found a couple of casting toolbars but nothing I’d write...er...blog home about. I have an addon right now that tells me “Perfect” in the old Mortal Kombat voice when I can instant slam, but sometimes between the music and the spells firing off around me along with the kids in the background that “Perfect” doesn’t quite reach the ol ear drums.

I’m not sure what good PVP add ons are out there for fury warriors...believe me I’ve been looking and I simply cannot find one that does what I’m looking for.
Here’s the delema with the current built in action bars. They are WAY down there at the bottom of the screen...my eyes seldom venture that far down the screen when I’m in the middle of handing someone their ass. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to have a “casting/action” bar that you could float around and place on the side or something...

In addition I find that sometimes I have to look down at my bar to find out just how long I have till my next Bloodthirst or Whirl Wind, and as we all know the difference between a dead warrior and a warrior standing over a corpse can often be determined in a matter of seconds and me having to look away from my focus can sometimes lead to death.

So I’m asking for some input here...
NAME THAT UI/ ADDON that you just can’t live without as either a tank or a fury...especially if you’re fury.

PVP & Me...a home coming...

So I’ve been a little off and on with my warrior lately. I stopped playing for a bit and recently came back...talk about shocking. I was doing a Halls of Lightning and didn’t realize I’d already done it till like half way through. It’s amazing what a little break will do for you.

I admit, I was a bit burned out on wow...yeah I know crazy right. Not anymore though. I’m happy to say I’m back and loving it. Taking a break sometimes can be a good thing and puts a new feel on an old game.

As always I’m a PVP whore. Unfortunately I sucked it up a couple of times last night. Deathknights and shamans are my favorite things to avoid. Mages, warlocks, hunters...and well pretty much anything else I attack with reckless abandon. I had a few good runs at AV. Even at lvl 78-79 I was doing some pretty good damage. This goes to show that with the right tools, regardless of level, you can be a factor. Am I taking geared 80’s one on one? No, absolutely not, but what I am doing is either helping to clean up shop or put a serious dent in someone for the next guy to take up.

AB is still my favorite BG. It’s easy, it’s fun, if oyu know how to do play it and you’re on Deathwing server then you typically get 5 caps...at least I do. For a brief while before I took my “break” I was on a 20+ game win streak with well over half of those being 5 caps.
AV is still my break and butter though and still extremely fun. I love intercepting groups of casters who are providing DPS and watching them scatter. It’s a tactic I’ve used since my first AV and one I still love. I die a lot, but I also help “move the chains” if you know what I mean. Rather than letting their healers and casters sit back as the “tanks” battle it out in the middle, I love going straight for the attacking and healing arm of an AV force, its casters.

Titan’s grip is still an awesome part of this. Nothing like two big ass weapons being flung around to help set yourself up for an enjoyable evening. I’m anxious to get into some arena’s though. I went from 4 bars into lvl 78 to half way through 79 yesterday in about 4-5 hours. Tonight or tomorrow I will ding...depending on how long I can fend off the urge to PVP. I’m sitting on roughly 17-18k honor so maybe I’ll grind out some more honor first...nah I think I’ll hit 80 and go have some fun in AV.

This sort of leads into my next “segment” UI for PVP.
I’m looking for a good UI for PVP, I’ll be posting more on this in a minute or possibly tonight. Every UI I find just isn’t what I’m looking for, maybe that’s where you come in and can point me in the right direction.

More on this to come...

Warcraft Formula - PVP Guide for Success

I think it's pretty safe to say I'm a PVP whore so when I heard something about a new product the other day from a few friends of mine that spent a lot of time sorting through all the new guide content out there. They had stumbled across what they said was a monthly eBook membership site – I didn’t believe them at first because I couldn’t see how a website could produce an eBook every month. There just isn’t that much to talk about in World of Warcraft. But, I stopped by the site to check it out and make sure it wasn’t a scam. Too many times, these big promising sites will say more than they can deliver. Here’s what I found out.

First of all, the pedigree here is pretty solid. The authors of the guides on Warcraft Formula are Brad Johnson (of Warcraft Millionaire fame) and T Dub Sanders (of PvP Bible and WotLK Secrets fame). The two are a great pair, bringing in gold making and PvP – the two most popular sources of information and guides for the game – and they pretty much have all the resources you could need to be effective in the game.

The premise of the site is pretty simple. You pay an upfront fee to get their Fast Track Action Plan – a guide that shows you how to put a solid account together. The guide is actually a lot more useful than it sounds at first look – it shows you how to pick a character but it also shows you which mods to get, how to join a guide, where to level and farm gold, and how to start in PvP and raiding. It’s a solid walkthrough of all the basics of the game for a beginner or a casual veteran.

After this, you get the actual product, a monthly newsletter that comes complete with details on PvP in the current month, new changes to the game, questions from readers and just about any kind of info on the game you can imagine from class changes to whatever else might come up. There are a ton of different topics already covered in the first four issues (with PvP covered in every issue).

In the end, you get a solid starter guide and brand new, time sensitive content each month from two of the best guide writers in WoW for a pretty low monthly price. It’s hard to believe, but this is a great deal and even better than my friends told me about. I’ll be subscribing to my own monthly membership, just to see where Brad and T Dub take it.

I highly recommend signing up for the free stuff as it contains a lot of useful info as well. Give it a shot, click the image below:

The Revised Titan’s Grip Hit Cap, hit cap and more hit cap Edition:

As with all things Warcraft this information is updated and you can find the most current information here: http://warrior-guides.blogspot.com/2009/07/warrior-hit-cap-arms-hit-cap-fury-hit.html

The Revised Titan’s Grip Hit Cap, hit cap and more hit cap Edition:
So if you’re reading this chances are you’re as frustrated with not being able to find a truly solid number for the Titan’s Grip hit cap. Is it 8%, 9%, 164, 220, 231, 804 (yeah I’ve seen this one out there)? Well what is it? I’m still searching. I’ve visited various forums, spoken to various experts and all agree...it’s somewhere between 8-9% the number being between 164-804. Yeah I’m as confused today as I was 3 months ago when I first started looking. So I’m still looking, but don’t lose heart. I might not be able to provide you with THE magic number. BUT I will give you a fairly agreed upon range. Here’s the break down in a nut shell on titan’s grip hit rating cap
.
IF you have precision going 3 deep the hit cap for special attacks is: 164-200

If you want to maximize your DPS in raids and such the hit cap range is: 220-250(basically this should be your hit cap)
Expertise rating: 214

So until I can find a SOLID number these are the ranges of a workable hit cap. I’m working with and I’m enjoying them so far and they should deliver for you everything you need.
DEFENSE:
If you’re looking for the defensive numbers...
Def to be uncritable by heroic mobs: 525
Def to be uncritable by heroic bosses: 540 5.6%

So please if YOU happen up on these magical numbers and have proof please let me know. Let US know. We’re all eagerly waiting.
