The NoMoreNoob Mission
As I hinted at earlier in the month and as evident by all the construction going on around here, Nomorenoob is changing, inspired by the cataclysmic event we are all going to be experiencing we felt it was time to take this bad boy to the next level. What started as something to do as a side project has developed into a rather involved side project with bells and whistles. We’re hoping to ramp it up a bit and really position ourselves as a bastion of information for the wow community.
More than “just some site” and more than “just some forum”, our goal is for people to be able to answer noob questions with, “I heard at NMN (No more noob) that hit cap is...” or possibly just say, “have you checked NMN?”
We don’t pretend to have all these fancy spreadsheets, though we could make them if push came to shove.
We don’t pretend to be know-it-alls or be guild leaders in charge of 200 people organizing 8 raids a week experiencing all end game play, but really how many people out there actually get to do all that?
No we don’t pretend any of those things.
What we do and what we will continue to do is provide insightful information and advice for all the Non-Best In Slot folks. Let’s be honest, if you’re rocking all the Best in Slot gear chances are you don’t really need our advice; no ,chances are you could probably teach us a thing or two. We will instead focus on helping everyone get a respectable chance at doing some end game content without fear of noobing it up and getting laughed out of raids and battlegrounds.
Not that we wont be providing “end game” advice, theorizing, testing, grinding and working to provide 100% top notch information, we’re going to shoot for the stars here, hopefully we hit them, if not we will take comfort in knowing we saved a few noobs from themselves and possibly taught a thing or two to an end game raider.
You might be thinking, “Great another damn wow site”, and to an extent you would be correct, you’d also be an ass hat, so congratulations on both counts. Nomorenoob is going to keep it “real”, we’re going to keep it “street”. I’ve found that with the exception of a few sites there’s little by way of consistent and helpful information out there coming from truly helpful people. Certain sites take an elitist attitude where noobs are not welcomed or they are shunned, not us, not here.
Not that we wont call you a noob and tell you to STFU here at Nomorenoob.com; it’s more that we’ll do it and then hopefully teach you something as well, so that further down the road you too can tell some level 73 warrior wearing cloth and wielding daggers to “STFU you noob”.
We’re here for all players advanced and ...well not so advanced; possibly wearing helmets and drooling on the keyboard...we’re here for them too. As always we welcome criticism and correction, but we also dish out a healthy dose of bitch smack for those looking to troll around and not really contribute.
With all this in mind, we want to thank everyone out there noob and pro alike for providing us with enough to write about and enough examples of both what to do and what not to do.
