Hit/Crit/Exp Caps

World of Warcraft Melee Hit Cap -Expertise Cap - CRIT CAP

In the past this page was theory crafted TO THE MAX.

Now I’m just giving the numbers, the reason being is that while I like educating people, blizzard changes shyt all the time and more often than not I forget to update it and then there’s false or dated info out there that just is like BLAH. So in an effort to eliminate:
A. Busy work for me
B. Dated info
C. Wrong info

Also please note this page will soon be deleted to replace it with more relavent NOT so easy to find information. I will of course put this stuff up somewhere else and you'll be able to find it via the table of contents.

I’m going to give the numbers with little to no explanation.

Arms & Prot Hit Cap
PVP – 5%
PVE – 8% (special attack hit cap)

Fury Hit Cap Cap
PVP – 5%
PVE* – 12-20% (special attack hit cap is 8% but you miss with more white hits so you want more than 8%)

* For Fury PVE for rage generation you’ll want to have a good 12+%

Expertise cap for Fury, Prot & Arms – 26

The easiest way to get all of these numbers is to go to your character screen (press c) and mouse over your hit. You should see a popup screen that pretty much flat out tells you what your hit is and what your chance to miss is. Use the above numbers to get that to zero.

And again ALWAYS stand behind your target when attacking.

Crit Cap:
Until I get to this page the Crit Cap can be found here:
